I awake in a bed dazed and confused. Everything is still hazy as I sit up and try to regain focus. The voice of a lady calls out to me urging me to lay back down. What does she mean when she says my wounds aren't healed yet?
A soft hand places itself on my shoulder and gently pushes me back down to the bed. She keeps telling me I need to rest.
“Who are you? And what the hell is going on?” I yelled out.
She answered me. “My name is Hope, and my sister's name is Dreams.”
I was found laid out in the wasteland with server wounds. If it wasn't for them I would be dead.
Why was I laid out? Why would they take a stranger into their hut? None of this makes sense. Hopes continues to stress the importance of me getting rest, said I need to relax since I've been through so much. She said her and her sister are going to reprogram my mental chip ID since it's damaged. I quickly asked how long is this going to take, and why can't I remember anything? With everything still hazy I was able to see Hope smile as she reassured me everything will be ok.
I could feel Hope and Dreams continuously working on my mental chip, even though it was hard to hear most of the time. I could hear them mention something named Purpose and how important it was that I find this Purpose. It felt like days, no weeks, that went by before Hope said those magic words telling me the work is done. My vision was still blurry and I still felt the same as before. I could barely see the lady like figures in front of me.
“What did you do? Nothing was changed!” I yelled out confused.
The blurry figures placed their hands on me and told me to calm down, the mental ID replacement was a success. Hope begin to explain to me once she activates my new ID I'll be able to see and move again without any issues, but there's one problem.
In order for the new mental chip ID to surge through my system I have to undergo a mental challenge. A change in mind and heart. What the hell was she talking about? What challenge? I was confused and worried.
Dreams finally took the lead and explained the process further. I'm not sure if it was because her voice was as soft as an Angel's whisper, but I understood everything clearly, and knew what must be done.
This was a special chip that was created by their father, it was the only chip they had. This chip holds all that a person needs to break away from their previous programming and work towards their true potential. The problem is that I have to spend a considerable amount of time processing the new information.
Dreams stressed that if I fail to contain the new information I could shut down completely. I have no other choice, I have no reason to keep this damaged clip, I refuse to live with this blurriness for the rest of my life. I told them to install it, I'm ready for whatever information coming my way.
The girls looked at each other and laid me back down. I took a deep breath, and before I knew it the information began pouring in.
